The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at The University of Memphis is currently seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as Graduate Assistant in Tuba and Graduate Assistant in Euphonium to begin with the fall semester 2007. Duties include weekly rehearsals and performances with the School of Music ensembles, studio and/or classroom teaching. Duties will be assigned based on departmental needs and applicants’ qualifications. Candidates may receive up to a full tuition waiver and an additional stipend of up to $6000 for Master’s students and up to $7000 for Doctoral students..
The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at The University of Memphis is the state's premier institution for the study of music and the only school in Tennessee to offer the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. We have approximately 500 music students of which 150 are graduate students. With approximately 45 full-time and 22 part-time faculty, students have close interaction in an environment designed to provide the most complete and comprehensive learning experience possible. The Music Building facilities include an extensive music library and computer lab housed within the Music Building as well as rehearsal halls and practice facilities.
